Like many of you, I was a businesswoman, mom, and wife for most of my adult life.  I took care of everyone else around me, and pretty much “stuffed” my dreams away for the better part of each year.  However, for at least a week, and sometimes two, I let those dreams out and went on vacation – always somewhere near the ocean.  I absolutely love the ocean and being in a “beach” environment.  It just invigorates me.  I feel happy and at home at the beach.  So why, I asked myself one day, don’t I live there? 

The whole idea seemed preposterous.  I have family!!!  I have friends!!!  I have a job!!!  I have a house and debts!!!   Yeah, yeah, yeah.  I will tell you firsthand that you CAN make the transition and move to St. Croix!
